 Athletics day !!!

On Tuesday the 3rd of November we had Year 3-6 Athletics Day . All of the teachers and students were lined up on the courts ready to head off .There weren’t many kids in Room 25 at the start but when the bell rang the whole class was there. All of the teachers told their students to stand up and leave, we were walking to the Lovelock Track.

My  favourite  events  were  high jump and  long  jump  because  I  came  2nd  in  high  jump  and  I  nearly  made  3rd  in  long jump and I didn't think I would make it in high jump but I did!

A challenge that I found was shotput because it was really heavy and hard to throw on my first try. It went far but not so far and on my second try it went further than my first one but I still tried and it was better than my last throw from last year .

Isabella in Room 25 did so amazing she came first in long jump and then shotput. She came 2nd in discus. I was so amazed when I  saw her jump further than everyone. She was the last one standing .

I felt so proud of myself for doing every event. At the end it was relays so everyone put their serious face on. It was like they were about to run to the top of Owairaka mountain - they ran like cheetahs they were all so fast it was like I blinked and then they disappeared.
